Every now and then, a track comes along that commands your attention from the very first note. Jealous Eyes, the magnetic new single from London-based singer Jade Moss, does exactly that. Before diving into the track itself, let’s take a look at the journey that brought her here.
A Pattern for Success
Jade Moss grew up on the outskirts of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Heading South at the age of 18, she ended up in London, where she pursued a passion for fashion design—eventually opening boutiques and travelling around the world.
The life-changing birth of her daughter, Blue, redirected her creative energy into music. Here, Jade stitches her strong aesthetic vision into a sound that blends sultry jazz and pop, carrying the vintage glamour of legends like Billie Holiday and Peggy Lee into the modern era.
Jade’s musical output to date includes her 2021 breakout single, Only You, which has amassed nearly 3 million streams, earned significant airplay across the BBC and global radio networks, and was backed by standout live performances at stellar venues like LA’s Troubadour and Hotel Café, alongside London’s Green Note, The Groucho Club, Sketch, and Soho House.
She is currently touring with a band of experienced session musicians and is signed to GlaGla Records, an independent label backed by Sony.
With an EP eyed for release in November this year, her latest single, Jealous Eyes, dropped on 31st July 2026. The track follows her well-received early-year release, Behind Closed Doors.
Cinematic Soul: "Jealous Eyes"

With a wonderful lush organic sound, Jealous Eyes commands your full attention from the outset, as the soulful vocals of Jade Moss announce their formidable presence ("You walked in like you owned the room”).
Written by Thomas Williams and Jade Moss, the track is tastefully produced and graced with sterling musicianship, giving it the feel of a long-lost soul classic over its captivating 2-minute-and-41-second runtime. The track builds to a glowing peak before cutting off with a sudden, mic-drop sharp finish that leaves you immediately wanting to press replay.
With its soul crescendos and fluid guitar motifs, the arrangement beautifully underpins a vocal performance tailored to the song like one of her boutique garments. She effortlessly extends her range across the cinematic track, her voice soaring on the hook:
“Jealous eyes set me on fire. Burning so slow.
Jealous eyes set me on fire, and those flames, they’re pulling—pulling me higher.”
The track’s lush, time-capsule production comes courtesy of London-based producer and musician Lloyd Hinshelwood, who effortlessly captures its smouldering, cinematic spirit.
A Fashionable Choice
With her haute couture background, Jade Moss exudes the confidence and poise of her time in the fashion industry. Her look features a distinctive retro flair that elevates the splendour and grace of her music. Drawing inspiration from the 1940s and artists like Billie Holiday and Peggy Lee, she layers her aesthetic with bright colours and theatrical glamour drawn from the silver screen legends of Hollywood’s Golden Age.
That visual flair directly mirrors her musical identity. The timeless, classic nature of her sound offers up cinematic splendour and vibrancy, cherry-picking elements from past decades and weaving them into a modern construction for current listeners.
Jealous Eyes comes highly recommended—and with a mini-tour lined up for September and October, followed by plans to hit Nashville in January next year, the future looks every bit as sparkling as her latest release.
