The five-piece metalcore/modern/old school metal band, Reflections of Amnesia, originate from Pilsen (Plzeň), the fourth-largest city in the Czech Republic, situated in western Bohemia.

The debut EP from Reflections of Amnesia scoops up a couple of recent singles (“Wolves” and “Hunt Me Down Slowly”) and forges them with two new songs into what becomes a statement blueprint of the band’s identity cast over themes of betrayal.
Wolves
Originally released as their debut single in May 2026 the song “Wolves” is the first track let off the leash on the new EP.
From the outset and its fade-in build up, it stamps the band’s heavy and emotional vision like a hallmark throughout the song—a wall-to-wall cacophony of turbo-charged sound envelops the listener. It’s not for the faint-hearted, the song’s howling sonic architecture at one with the darker image of the song, which, however lifts itself for the cleaner vocals and melody of the atmospheric chorus.
Story Never Written

With the groundwork laid, “Story Never Written” dips deeper into the opaque environment the band inhabit—its lone guitar opening soon subsumed by Sari’s powerful interjection. Again, as the chunky guitars take hold, it veers from scream vocals and intense, heavy riffing to an uplifting soaring, clean vocal delivery, as you can almost feel the vibrating ebbs and flows of the raw emotion at play on this “story never written”.
Sun Rays
Perhaps fittingly, the shade and light of the song sees “Sun Rays” shine with a shimmering guitar opening, slowing to a reflective passage before things crank back up with impassioned scream vocals trading places with their clean counterpart. Its stops, starts and gradual build ups resonate wildly with raw emotion across the whole song before its abrupt end.
Hunt Me Down Slowly
The final song, also a single from July 2026 that I reviewed back then, opens with a high-gravity punch wall-of-industrial-noise salvo of low tuned guitars, driving bass, and screamed vocals from Sari that hit you full-on.
Before you’ve had time to settle, Sari’s delivery undergoes an incredible transformation. The "Hunt me down slowly" refrain begins to resonate in a heavenly fashion, countering the previous intense harsh delivery with soaring, cinematic melodies, before the subterranean rumble of a machine-gun double kick turbocharges the song to its aggressive conclusion.

Across the EP the production is detailed and crisp; the sheer wealth of sound never overwhelms the mix, allowing Sari’s clean lines room to breathe. Sharp, biting guitar work from Martin and Patrik adds melodic flourishes to build on top of the rock solid groove of Luky’s drums and Rozi’s bass.
It certainly lays down a statement of intent from this emerging metal band.
The EP is available across all major streaming platforms.
