2026 has been a pivotal year for Sarah Louise, the independent singer-songwriter from Suffolk, UK. After years combining music with everyday life, she’s taken the leap toward realising her vision as a full-time artist.
This renaissance has seen a flurry of well-crafted new singles (“Feels Right Now”, “Different Kind Of Girl” and the immensely popular “Sunshine”, which amassed more than 22 million Instagram views) to help pave the way for her debut EP, Person I Needed, set to be released on 27th November 2026.
The singles take the strands of her previous country and folk-rooted acoustic aesthetic and weave them into a more sonically rich contemporary pop tapestry. With the increased exposure to her music widening her international reach, performances at Nashville’s iconic Bluebird Cafe in addition to live performances across the UK are also forging her reputation as a compelling new artist to take notice of.
“Sit With The Feeling” is the final single release before the EP hits the airwaves.
NO STONE UNTURNED: Sit With The Feeling
Laced with emotional honesty and self-discovery, 'Sit With The Feeling' transforms Sarah Louise’s sound into a dreamy, atmospheric pop space.
The single’s centrepiece is her signature metaphor of heart-shaped pebbles and their ability to deal with life’s storms by reshaping rather than breaking.
Accordingly the song’s key message is to sit with our feelings rather than avoid them and let them shape us.
Sonically the song kicks off with a rhythmic beat that recalls John Waite’s “Missing You” as Sarah Louise’s crystalline vocals wash warmly across things. Strings and keyboards unfurl the canvas of the song such that by the time the “I should just sit with the feeling” chorus hits, you’ve literally put everything down to listen.
It’s an insightful, well-crafted and emotionally resonant song that itself sits with the new feeling that Sarah Louise’s evolving musical kaleidoscope has firmly set its sights on, and as such it makes for a deeply rewarding listen.
The single can be found on all the usual streaming outlets and can also be listened to below:
