Recognised as the world’s oldest longest running music hall (since 1853!) Victoria Hall is a jewel in the crown of market town Settle.
The venue provides a diverse mix of live music, theatrical productions, stand up, cinema as well as local talks, classes and markets.
The interior retains heaps of character from its heritage with wood panelled walls, elegant chandeliers and Victorian architectural features.
The hall has a small balcony and the downstairs area can be arranged into theatre seating, cabaret style set up with a number of unreserved tables or good old standing! The maximum capacity is in excess of 200 people, so expect an intimate atmosphere and nearness to the performers.
Bar facilities are in a room at the side of the stage and serve both draft beers and lagers, canned alcoholic and soft drinks and mini bottles of wine amongst its offerings.
Victoria Hall is a short walk from Settle railway station and has pay-and-display parking nearby and wheelchair friendly entrances.
The venue also houses an outdoor space "Miss Victoria’s Refreshment Gardens" (open May–September), selling a great range homemade cakes, teas, coffee and canned alcoholic and soft drinks.
The Hall, which is a registered independent charity, is run by a small management team with the support of trustees and volunteers.
Donations and patronages are much welcomed and there is also a charity shop, Miss Victoria’s Emporium, located in Settle’s market square, which provides a valuable source of income.
